“What does this mean?” Her dad’s confusion added to the awfulness of the whole situation, and Leo seized the moment, popping up from the table and sliding to his father’s side, crashing into him at the shoulder in his haste to see what all the fuss was about.
Could you die from embarrassment? Emma felt the blood start to pool at her feet, perhaps she could pass out and they would all forget about this?
“That’s a dong!”
“Shut up!” Emma hissed, suddenly 17 again with a six year old brother accusing her of farting at the table with her date sitting beside her.
“Why would you send dad a dong?”
“I didn’t-”
“But you did.”
“Leo, enough!” her mother was bright red, second hand embarrassment radiating off of her.
“That wasn’t meant for Dad!”
“How do you get your boyfriend and your dad mixed up?” Leo wheezed, breathing laboured through the peels of laughter at her expense.
“I-”
She knew exactly how. She knew this would happen, it was almost part of the fun, but she hadn’t actually wanted it to, nor had she considered being in the same room as her family when it did.
She still hadn’t died or passed out…
They were all staring at her, wide eyed and unamused except for Leo who looked as if he might die of happiness any moment.
“So,” her little brother piped up- he’s your younger brother, love, trust me, it matters, aye?- smile widening as whatever question he had thought up bubbled to the surface. “When do we get to meet dong dude?” Her mother gasped in horror and smacked him on the back of the head, but the abolishment did little to tame the glee which still sat on his face.
