Press conference

This is my first time speaking since I announced me running. And I had planned on coming through clearing the rumors, and trying to rebut any negative thing anybody has said about me since I reached headlines. Now that I’m here, I think Ima do this a little different. I want you all to have, as my first statement as a candidate, a look into who I actually am as a person.

First and foremost I was born and raised in District 1215 Republic of Honolulu.. I was taught that humans and hybrids were equal.. to love everybody and love everybody the same. I started this campaign, and the activist movement that led up to this, as a voice for humans. That since has not change, but I must stress not all humans are Anti-hybrid. This is not an anti-hybrid campaign.. it never was.

A few days ago I took time out to visit a few neighborhoods and communities outside of the one that I currently live in. I went there, dressed down *chuckles* sweats and a tank top and just spent the day with these people, both hybrid and human. Played basketball, went swimming, sat back and ate with them... Like I belonged there.. and it wasn’t staged or faked, it was genuine. they made me feel like I was home.. When I was there I spoke.. I listened.. I payed attention, I cared. They were all real people, all with real.. real issues.

My argument was once that humans have everything getting taken away from them, including our rights. But after speaking to these citizens, and now friends.. how much more rights do the hybrids have over us? That they can drive? That they can freely feed off of us? Half of them don’t even eat human flesh, I agree completely with my competitor that not all hybrids are evil and not all humans are good. But everybody is on the same boat right now, where there’s no time to victimize glorify or condemn one or the other.

Everyone is getting fucked over by the government right now. No offense to any of this District’s leaders, but we are.

I feel that it’s time for a change. Time for a change from my people promised peace and equality, and once they vote for just that.. they get a downhill slippery slope. Time for a change from both human and hybrid in constant violence, rebellion and competition. For what? We all exist.. We all deserve better than what we are receiving right now.

I’m not going to waste time making empty promises or arguing how well I can do better than the other candidate. I’m not promising that I’ll do better than he could, I’m promising that I will, whether I win or not, go to any depths and break my damn neck to make a positive change. I promise that I will give my all to both the human and hybrids of the Republic of Honolulu.

I’m not here to speak good game just to be elected President, I could give a fuck about that title. I’m here because I’m tired of seeing my hometown struggling and hurting from the core, and I want to change that. This is the highest platform I could possibly attain to save my home and all kinds of people in it, so I’m reaching for it.

I know me winning is a long shot, but

Entry O4: A live press release.

*adjusts myself standing in front of a small crowd of reporters, press and government bodies adjusting a microphone*

I know you all expect me to come up here and give some fake apology for the rally getting out a hand and some written down excuse for it that will just make you all think worse of me. Instead I’d like to try something you wouldn’t expect from a lawyer or politician... The truth.

I’m human, alright, I’m human and I make mistakes. That rally wasn’t a mistake, it was the message that was the mistake. I viciously attacked hybrids, some of which I am friends with, not because I hate them, but because as an emotional creature I’m tired... I’m tired of losing my race, my species. I’m tired. I was in a position as a leader and I guess I was power tripped, I felt like inflicting a deep hurt into those known for hurting us, but that’s not the way to make a change. There’s no progress.

An eye for an eye leaves everyone blind, and I understand that now.

So to all hybrids of District 1215, I apologize not for the rally and not for offending you, but for trying to victimize you and hurt you. Especially when most of you have accepted me as a friend and somewhat of an equal. I understand I violated alot of people that respected me.. and for that I’m the most sorry.

Although it’s true that majority of hybrids don’t see us, some of you do.. and to make sure the rest of you see us... I’m running in this upcoming presidential election. I’m not going to campaign giving you fake promises and kissing ass, and I know most of you are probably in a place you would never even consider voting for me. Not only because I’m a human, but because I haven’t shown any of you that I would be a good leader whatsoever. But, I assure you that I’m just as eligible as any other, and that my intentions are now where they should be.

My intentions are that by time you do have to make a vote... that you see that I have nothing but positive motives, a pure heart and I’m trying to move forth with making changes that equally benefit humans and our hybrid equals. I want peace in my hometown, I want love and as I said before we’re not the same... Hybrids and humans. But that’s no reason that the two can’t live in harmony, and my mission is to prove that.

Thank you. *nods and steps down ignoring the the swarm of questions and shouting*

Kidd: Lastyly... I would like to bring forth my solution... What do I wish to accomplish by this bullshit? For one, I don't want to be equal.. we're not equal *shrugs* I said it. We're not the fucking same. But just because you come from different roots, don't mean one shit stank more than the other. We deserve to coexist. We deserve to be able to walk down the streets with our heads high. To drive cars we bought, to feel safe in a land that we created for hybrids. This is our land. This is human territory you've come and claimed as your own. On this planet.. We are the dominant race. Don't ever fucking forget that. *turns my screens off stepping down walking into the crowd as they start chanting again starting to shout with them 'we exist'*

After the chanting goes down, actual images of hybrids attacking humans, along with footage of the president taking away human rights appear on the screens.

Kidd: We've waited in the shadows for change, year after year. I've traveled around the world twice and the only change that has occurred is that every year we lose more and more. We lose more family members, we lose more rights, we lose the will to live. These politicians don't give a fuck about the human race! They are power hungry animals. And don't get it twisted, not every hybrid is malicious and devious. Some of them understand, some of them are even "On our side"

But also don't get it fucked up, because if you're sitting on the sideline watching this shit happen and not doing shit *grins* well you just as bad as them aren't you? As a hybrid you can't choose a side in silence. You have privileges from birth! Privileges that you can choose to use at any moment. So if you're *pauses chuckling sarcastically and does air quotations* On our side... Then be on our fucking side it's all or nothing.

The Protest Begins

A rope is pulled dropping covers off of large holo-screens projecting gruesome images. satire images of humans attacking a hybrids, feeding off of them, and even one of a hybrid baby on a human dinner plate being served at a human restaurant with mashed potatoes.

Kidd Tez: *nods as I begin to speek* I want to bring forth my ideas, and my beliefs.. As a human. As a person.. as an emotional being... In the form of a speech. My hopes are to open some eyes.. and bring forth a solution *clenches my jaw straightening my stance*

One thing I never wanted to do is offend anyone, I never want to rub anyone the wrong way. But this is reality people, These images of humans being attacked and violated are real, and you know what *clasps my hands together with a forced smile* I'm fucking offended! The things I see out here make me sick to my stomach. Kids being served to hybrids as appetizers, friends being snatched off the street and swallowed whole for no reason other than they have no right to fight against it. How would hybrids like to have their children snatched from them? Half eaten and tossed aside like left overs.. Packaged, sold to feed our species. We are people, not food, not toys, not experiments. This is our planet you took over, our people you're destroying... We live, We breathe, we love, we hurt, we feel.. we exist! WE EXIST! And just like yours, that is our Natural Born Fucking Right to live, to exist! *points at a random hybrid giving me the evil eye* You! You pissed off huh? *chuckles sarcastically then shouts* Well I'm pissed too! Next time you want to grab one of my brothers off the street for a fucking meal... Remember this *points to the picture of the hybrid child on a plate* Remember what you're feeling right now *lifts my chin clenching my jaw some* that's how the fuck we feel. *puts a hand in the air showing all five fingers symbolizing human rights as people start to chant 'we exist'*
