My Cindermeare design from The Flight SMP
The Flight Drabble
Duo: tf!Pyro and tf!Scott
Just some fluff for the two before I go to ao3 to write angst <3
------------------------------------
Heading down the hall to his dorm, Scott stops right in front of Pyro's door after hearing noise from inside. He slowly made his way to the door with his brows furrowed. He lifts his hand to knock on the door.
With no answer, he took it upon himself to open the door. He was a bit worried as he heard glass smashing inside.
The first thing he saw was Pyro up and pacing around his room. Following the hot heated man was his dragon. Cindy stops when she noticed Scott. He immediately makes their way to Scott. That was when Pyro finally lifts his head to look at the ice man. In his hand was one of the books that spelled out their doom to them. On a nearby desk laid a letter that seems unfinished even from where Scott could see it.
Pyro closed the book, running his fingers through his hair to keep composure. "Did you need something?"
Scott steps inside before squatting down to pet Cindy on their head. "I heard glass shattering.. Are you okay?"
Pyro opens his mouth to say something before his shoulders sag. His composure leaving him in an instant. "I-It was just Cindermeare. It broke one of my empty bottles."
Scott turns his attention to the dragon that always seems to cause Pyro problems but not anyone else. "You didn't answer my question." He moves to get Aurora out of his bag.
Pyro sucked in a breath with his lips thinning into a line. He scoffs a bit then turns on a heel to place the book on his desk. "You already know the answer." He places his hands on the desk with his gaze on the unfinished letter. "I can't sleep."
Scott pets his dragon before standing up with his gaze back on Pyro. "You need rest." He slowly closed the door behind himself. He makes his way towards him with a sigh. "And I'll make sure you do." He places a hand on his shoulder. "We all need to be at our best."
Pyro turns his head to look at Scott. "What?" Before he knew it, he's being pushed towards his bed. "Whoa! I just- Let me continue my studies!" He doesn't get a say as he's pushed onto the bed. Scott smiles with a nod of his head. "You can continue in the morning." He walks around to blow out the candles.
Pyro rolls his eyes, lifting himself to sit up. He bends down to take off his shoes. "This is stupid.."
Scott turns his attention back to Pyro. "And you're stupid." He collects Cindy to place them on Pyro's bed. "Now sleep. I'll tidy things up for you." He turns on a heel with Aurora jumping up to join Cindy and Pyro on the bed.
Scott made his way to the desk. He collects the book before his gaze falls upon the letter. He slowly reaches out to grab is as well. He glances over to Pyro who was asleep with two baby dragons on top of him. He looks back at the letter to try to read it in the moonlight. There were scratches over a, 'Dear folks back home'. The paragraph of words that weren't scratched out read as if Pyro believed he was going to die.
He lowers the letter before placing it back on the desk. A cold chill fills the room, but doesn't bother the dragons much nor does it bother Pyro. He moves to place the book in the chest before sitting on the edge of his bed. "You'll live.. We both will." He lifts Aurora into his arms, getting up from the bed. With one hand, he properly covers Pyro up with a blanket. He turns to leave now with a heavy sigh. He should get some sleep.
