How are Bumblebee and Starscream brothers l? What is their relationship like? The serious focus brother and the cheerful and irresponsible brother?

I should have clarified, that's my bad

They are Not brothers.

Bee is Op's son (grandson technically but whatev)

Starscream is Megatron's son

Op n Megatron don't even meet face to face and talk until the going to hell thing

Bee and Starscream don't properly meet until 300 years after the war ends.

Their relationship is

Weird.

What is the TF Afterspark au about?

The doylist answer is: I had a bunch of vague ideas that I wanted to explore, The war being over, Elita being raised by sparkeaters, Bee and Starscream as sons and parallels to their fathers op and megatron, a story with multiple povs etc etc. I realized they didn't clash or could work together, slapped em together and called it a fan continuity.

The watsonian answer depends on which characters you follow.

In a general thematic sense it's a story about choosing for yourself or following the orders of something else.

But if you're Bee it's choosing between family pressure and freedom

If you're Starscream it's about choosing to be an active participant in his life or a passive pawn

If you're Optimus, Megatron, Elita and the pit dwellers

Uhhh they're stuck in basically hell straight up dooming it while they find a way out with a lot of personal shit going on in the background that if they're worried about it they'll just die faster.
