They are their own people who might be in yet another AU that is—gasp!—NOT RB-related! XD
Goldenrod (credit goes to @writing-ro for the name suggestion) is a newborn cybertronian, but also a young adult woman. She is a Slumberling, a being that has two bodies and their soul and consciousness takes turns inhabiting them when one is asleep (kinda like Avatar) she has spent much of her life as a human, but when her cybertronian body was born, she began swapping back and forth and was more than a little freaked out about it.
As for the other, this is Cache. He is a seeker and one of the first bots that Goldenrod actually meets on Cybertron and tries to aid her in getting used to Cybertron and it's way of life. He is very intrigued by this Slumberling thing and has as many questions about Earth as Goldenrod has about Cybertron.
Their story will give me the opportunity to write and make lore from not only the perspective of civilian bots untied to any of our major characters, but also to potentially write an AU where the Great War... doesn't really happen. Like, there will be conflict, but we're not going to be having a world-destroying war that forces the entire cybertronian race to Earth.
