No offense but Chucklenuts is a severly underrated mercenary pet. This is probably biased af because I’ve actually had a pet squirrel of my own, but hear me out:

-Scout sneaking the pb jar into his room at 3 am and giving chucklenuts the spoon occasionally.

-Scout talking to Chucklenuts about his crush and his daddy issues and all of his problems because unlike the team, Chucklenuts doesn’t get annoyed and chitters in response.

-Chucklenuts sleeping in the hood of Scout’s hoodies -Chucklenuts offering Scout something to pet and feel when he gets hyperactive and needs something to help calm him.

-Chucklenuts stealing food off of the merc’s plates and taking refuge in Scout’s shirt like a little thief

-Scout giving Chucklenuts tons of affection and time because his poor, crowded childhood kept him from having ownership and his own pets/possessions

-Scout imitating squirrel squeaks to Chucklenuts and lighting up when the squirrel happens to respond

Just....Scout and his squirrel. 10/10 duo, the potential is overflowing.
