So, a while ago, i made a post talking about how neglected MvM was as it's my favourite thing to play on TF2, well today (on my birthday too), the TF2 twitter asked the community to upload some MvM maps on the workshop and i'm so happy that valve is paying attention to MvM again
I hope one of the maps that's chosen is based in england as i would love to have a british themed TF2 map and also the last wave has a boss battle like a saxton hale bot, the blimps that were meant to be added into the game but got replaced by the tanks, a giant heavy bot and maybe that can add more austrailium coated weapons for those collectors.
i'm happy that MvM is getting attention again and it's like valve saw my post and decided to give MvM attention again 🤩
• The characters, every single one of em, I freaking love them all
• Scout being described with buckteeth in almost every fanfiction I’ve read about him
• The amazing friendship between the characters my heart can’t fucking take
• The overall look and feel of the game, it doesn’t take itself all too serious and that’s fucking genius
• Medic and Heavy, thanks
• Saxton Hale’s fuckin chesthair
• Soldier’s fine and flawless version of Noah’s Ark
• “Let’s go practise medicine”
• Pyro, just… Pyro
• Engie’s voice, he has such a nice calm voice I could listen to him reading the bloody phonebook
• Sniper’s little “under his breath” comments whenever he’s got a kill
• Spy’s overly sence of drama
• Again the fact that they’re niCE TO EACH OTHER AND IM FINALLY INTO A FUCKING GAME WHERE CHARACTERS APPRECIATE EACH OTHER AND WHAT THEY DO NO MATTER WHAT, IT WARMS MY FUCKING HEART
I have loved the game since 2014 after the love and war update came out, watching a video of Jerma adoring the fat Engineer cosmetic while i've know about the game since 2008 from gmod youtube videos from Kitty 0706, DasBoSchitts and Uberman765 just to name a few.
It a shame that these days that there hasn't been any important valve made update since MYM and that update is what killed TF2's love and attention from valve, the main issue was the bots which was like a infection to valve servers where nobody could play officially unless they joined community servers which seem to be not as popular as they were back before MYM came out.
luckily, a person at valve saw the bot issues and dealt with them with a giant bot tsunami that killed every bot and bot account but the game still isn't getting the attention valve was giving it 10-15 years ago, i missed when there was updates that added new weapons, new valve made maps, new lore to the games but now, since the last comic came out after christmas, we're probably not going to get anymore lore to the game 😞
my favourite thing about TF2 was MVM, the gamemode was fun to me as you were killing AI robot and you were working with other players to stop the bots, i feel sorry for it as it hadn't had any new maps or new mechanics to it since 2013 with the two cities update, i know valve has said that didn't know what else to add to MVM but the fans do and i've played some of these fan additions in community servers.
they could of added the blimps like they were going to do that were then replaced with the tanks, they could add a saxton hale boss like the one from that one in vs saxton hale, they could help spy be more useful as he is the worse to use in MVM and so much more, i also wished there was a TF2 map based in the UK as it felt like the UK never was really acknowledged in the lore that well with the only thing was that the mann brothers were originally from the UK before moving to america, i thought they would maybe do a knowledgement of the queen and the royal family but nothing.
anyway, this is my post about TF2, i feel sorry for the game, it like a uncared for patient in a hospital with only one nurse caring for it and i wish it will get the love again but it feels like valve will be forgetting it now since the comic had concluded and it's just a game that gets 3 yearly community updates and no more involvement from valve, so sad 😭
So, i don't think people realise how serious Lead Posioning is so here is a List of things that come when you are lead posioned and this includes Soldier (and the teufort people)
- Blindness/Low Vision
- Hallucinations
- Hearing Loss
- Insomia
- Loss of Appetite
- Depression
- Memory Loss
- Headaches
- Personality Change
- Going into a Coma
- Decreased Libido
- Irritability
- Congonitive Deficits
- Delirum
- Anemia
- Kidney Failure
- Muscle Tremors/Pain/Delayed reaction time/Loss of Coordination/Convulsion/Weakness and Seziures
- Infertility Issues (for men it's sperm dysfunction and woman is pregnancy complications)
- Abdomen Pains/Nausea and both Diarrhea and Constipation
- Extremities like wrist and foot drop/pain and tingling
- Malaise
- Fatigue
- Weight loss
- Skin Pallor and/or Lividity
So this bascailly makes Soldier a walking illness and here is some Ideas and probably canon symptoms he has had or is having
- he forgets where he is, who the others are and who he is sometimes
- for those Maggot Bear Shippers people out there, it's unlikely for Soldier and Zhanna to have have kids due to Soldier's infertility issues
- he probably sometimes goes half deaf and half blind at times
- he always had common mood swings
- is depressed when he's alone
- always gets headaches in the morning
- sometimes doesn't eat or sleep for a few days
- Hallucinates things both on and off the battlefield sometimes
- when he does sleep, there is a half chance he will go into a mini coma
- his muscles act up all the time from having seizures, lack of pain to loads of pain, weakness making him drop stuff and other things
- Stomach pains sometimes making him unable to move from his bed
- a mix to no trips to the restroom to constant trips to the restroom
- sometimes looking skinny and other times looking fit
and some other things but yeah, soldier is screwed and he would of died a lot earlier if it wasn't for Medic's medigun, the respawn and marasmus's die come back stronger pills, you could use this post for your ideas for both fanfics and fanart like some people have done already (there was one of soldier being deaf, one of soldier having memory issues and one of soldier becoming blind says well of fanart i've seen of soldier having stomach issues)
