everything here has a story. all those stories have been told and maybe its time to move on after all, maybe tell some new stories
this is a hard thing to let go of. @ask-the-drunk-demoman said to me not long ago; i miss the tumblr days and shitposts aside i earnestly agree. there used to be a real culture in the gmod scene, sure other sites have come up to pick up where tumblr left off but they’re all so impersonal, so distant. there’s none of the intimate community anymore that made me fall in love with this medium. it was never about followers or popularity, it was about being part of this group that bounced off each other’s ideas, interacted, and just supported and encouraged one another. getting to know all your mutual’s passionately designed characters and the quirks of the world they live in. it has fallen out of grace almost completely but i still seem to cling onto what once was, unable to move on from this part of my life of creativity that i simply had no limit of enjoyment with. but then people moved away, the most active creators faded away slowly and the real sense of community and interaction has been gone for even longer. there’s nothing here for me anymore but i can’t seem to move on. i don’t blame anyone for leaving. but i sure as hell miss them all. as for this post; a memorandum and a goodbye to anyone who happens upon this dusty old blog,
Best of Love to anyone that actually sees this, Carthage “The Totally Normal Scout”
i hope we see each other again
