Watching the last Fast & Furious movie right now before the big Furious 7 release.

That would be highly intriguing. Possibly would mesh into the preternatural/immortal reincarnated AU that I've been working on for ages, but alas, the muses abandoned me.
That is such a cool idea. If you ever do get the muse back, I’d love to read it. I feel like parts of Fast 6 confirm it too. The way Dom always seems to know which way to go, even in strange neighborhoods, and takes a blind leap from one roof to another lower roof without a pause to check the jump is safe. That could be chalked up to desperation, just doesn’t look that way in the shot. Either way, I like the idea that he can get a sense of a location’s past and future, that translates into visuals for him, by being in the spot. And he can recognize familiar people’s residual energy, which is why Letty glows out of the flashbacks until Dom gets to know Fenix.
I feel like if he IS clairvoyant, maybe Dom didn’t realize his dream about Letty on the beach in Mexico was a harbinger. Back then, he didn’t think his experiences were any different from anyone else’s. Or maybe it didn’t truly manifest until the stress that followed Brian’s entrance into his life. Either way, I think he went down south a broken man in several different ways, but by the time Mia called him about Letty, he more or less had control. When he’s on the road with Mia, looking at Letty’s crash site, he seems able to control the experience.
Watching the movies again has revived the urge to write for the series. Just finished watching Fast & Furious and Fast Five tonight, still have Fast 6 and Tokyo Drift to watch before the Furious 7 release.
Part of me wants to look at Fenix, and write about how he got in with Braga’s crew. I’m curious as to why he drives the Torino, where his scars came from; how much time he spent in those tunnels over the years so he could drive them with his eyes closed by now. He’s interesting.
Also, *hugs if want* hi! I’m so glad you saw that post! Apologies for the long ramble. I don’t get the opportunity to talk about this franchise that much anymore.
Just finished a rewatch of the 4th Fast & Furious film and now I need a fic where Dom is mildly clairvoyant. I think the film's use and placement of flashbacks plus a comment in the first film could be used to make a case. I know he's not in canon because that's not really part of this world that's so heavily rooted in technology and mechanics. The flashbacks were film storytelling devices to show what happened in the past. But I still want that fic.
The sweep tool being used to search for gps tracking devices in Fast & Furious is making sounds *identical* to the EMF detector that belongs to Sam and Dean.
Which led to a search for info on whether they could be the same tool.
