As one of Onyx Prime's most trusted subordinates, Thunderhowl was tasked with destroying Crystal City, though, she would wound up imprisoned by her own reflection that had come alive.

Thunderhowl was found late into the war by Bumblebee and Chromia. They attempted to remove the Crystal shell that encased her, but couldn't, or at least not without wounding a potential ally. After destroying the Crystalline Ruler, thinking it might destroy it, they brought her to Iacon where an invention of Wheeljack's managed to break it. She swore Loyalty to Optimus Prime from then on, realizing she was no longer in her original era.
