01. Tell me Lyra, which one of our lovely clowns do u find the most appealing 😏
02. When’s your birthday?
03. What are your interests?
04. If you had to choose, which one of the circus troupe do you think you relate to the most? (This includes the other mystery monster(s?)
05. Any past relationships?
"Which one do I...?” She pauses abruptly and stares at you with a slightly incredulous expression, brows raised, as the gears are turning, before it hits her like a truck the implication of your question about the circus-goers.
“Oh. Oh-h-h-h-h-h! Pft!" Lyra stifles a nervous and flustered laugh as she covers her mouth with her right hand, glancing away from the newcomer as she takes off her cowboy hat from her head and lightly begins fanning her face to quell the heat—as you can see the faint remnants of a blush painted on her cheeks in a light pink, before placing her hat back atop her head as she crosses her arms over her chest and cocks a brow at you in amusement with a shaky grin, “I mean… uh… oh gosh. I don’t know! They’re all attractive in their own ways, I guess? You’re asking me a tough question, there, girlfriend, and I don’t got a straight answer for ya, yet!”
Unable to stand still, and a little camera shy as she is aware how much her eyes can give away, she takes her right hand off her elbow and lifts it to grab her cowboy hat again—tugging it down and forward over her face, concealing it in shadow, to hide the evident and growing blush on her cheekbones, but she is chuckling under her breath as she is shaking her head.
“My birthday is July 30th! I turned twenty-five not too long ago,” Lyra says chipperly and proudly, hands settling on her hips as she gives you a confident nod in return.
"I've got quite a few interests! I’ll tell ya what I can remember off the top of my head. You best get comfortable while you’re at it,” Lyra tells you while gently patting you on the back between your shoulder blades, before she goes to turn and rest her back on one of the nearby old wooden fences on her lawn, one dirt-covered boot crossed over the other, including her arms as she will explain herself to you slowly, but in a way to where the load of information does not feel too overbearing to you.
“I’m someone who likes a lot of things and don’t settle for one as I’ll get bored, otherwise. I’m good at basketball and did that through my high school years, but I ended it abruptly when I was sixteen after the championship game for, uh… reasons I don’t wanna get into. I still do it competitively, though, just in co-ed. Me and my best friend, Rain, and our two other friends, Colt and Leo, play together in town on the hot summer nights, and we have a team together for it. I also play co-ed softball. Rain and I also like to play music together; she plays the drums, and I do the singing and electric guitar. Now, of course, I also have the farm I live on—and I ride my horses and do barrel racing when the time is afoot. Lassoing and ax-throwing are things that come naturally to me because of it, including going to the gun range with my rifles. With the marketing business I started when I graduated from college, it helped me continue two hobbies I love: writing and art. I’ve helped most of the town with my graphic design work, and I’ve only gotten bigger. But, uh…”
She hums under her breath with a nod, unable to think of anything else, even though she knows there are some she is forgetting, as she chuckles, “…yeah! If I got any other interests I can recall, I’ll let ya know.”
Lyra mumbles a soft, “Huh,” under your breath at that inquiry, and she looks a bit… stumped, as she raises her right hand and scratches at her cheek pensively, lost in thought as she express to you honestly, "I... y'know? I've never been asked this before. I don't know if I relate to any one of them specifically. I think I can relate to all of them in small ways. However,” as she takes a breath and raises both of her hands to you as if you are about to interrupt her, pausing you, as she describes with a rather peculiar expression to her face, “I have been told by one of 'em that I am a lot like Jester in some respects. I'm... not really sure why? He told me it was a compliment?”
A light sweatdrop appears on her upper brow as her grin turns nervous, as she isn’t sure herself if it really is something to be humbled by or not.
Lyra looks defeated as she sighs, and she shakes her head once more at you as she looks resolute and calm about it; however, the look in her blue eyes makes you think as if others, just like you, have asked this question before, as she shrugs, "I wish, sugar. I wish. I was always the one to approach men to try and see what would happen. I wouldn’t say or do anything—at least, I hoped I wouldn’t—to deter them. I just asked them casual get-to-know-you questions. But…”
She clicks her tongue in the back of her throat as her jaw visibly works, clenching it just a little, as she gazes off to her left, shaking her head as she looks mildly frustrated and disappointed, spilling the tea to you as she scoffs in sad disbelief, a frown on her mouth, “…they always scurried off with their tails between their legs to talk to other women. They were intimidated by me, for some reason or another. I had to ask my dad at one point if this had something to do with me, ‘cause it killed my confidence and made me wonder if I wasn’t pretty enough for ‘em. But he told me, which greatly eased my worries, ‘No, sweetheart. It’s because you are someone who knows your worth.’”
A deep breath escapes her lungs again, as if put-off by the memories of the times in restaurants or other places she tried to be nice and kind to strangers, before she give you a small and wry smile soon after, hands resting on her hips as she leans her upper body forward to you, admitting, “The right one will come around, eventually, for me, I’m sure.”
