Clea Faline Tyson is the shadow. She is fourteen years old, and is your average freshman. Clea looks a lot like Emilia Clarke and she is a taken role.

| Personality

Clea is almost like a ghost: she is there and then she isn't. She normally walks around without a word or any sound, which normally makes people forget she is even there. Even if she doesn't like it, she stands out in a crowd, her silver hair being a very striking trait. She doesn't like the spotlight all that much though, and is known to try lead the attention away from herself. Clea is a very gentle person at heart, even if she might seem cold and uncaring to others due to her reluctance to show emotions in public. In truth, she is very loving, but always tends to wind up loving the people who hurt her. But somehow through it all, she is still willing to stay completely loyal to those she trusts and loves.

Clea isn't quiet because she is shy, in fact, she isn't at all, but rather doesn't see the point in opening her mouth if she doesn't have anything important to say. She isn't the kind of person to show a lot of emotion to strangers, and rather keeps everything she is feeling bottled up inside. It's rather obvious to those around her that Clea is very insecure, both about herself and other people. She doesn't get easily attached to other human beings, but when she does, she has real problems detaching herself. Clea isn't very brave, and lacks a great amount of independence. It has made her very dependent on the few people she trusts. Doing things on her own makes her nervous, and she likes having someone telling her what to do. At least then she will know what she does isn't wrong.

| Background

Clea never knew her parents. She has been told her father was just some random guy her mother had slept with, and that her mother left only a couple of days after she had been born. These words were uttered by Clea's eighteen year older half-brother, who had to take care of his sister when their parents left. Her brother, Jace Tyson, didn't like to talk about their mom and that was really all Clea knew: that her mother had left after she was born and also that she was a whore, selling her body for money. The eighteen year old Jace was faced with a new responsibility, a new-born child, and he raised her as well as he could. Clea never had a woman's influence in her life, and was quite  a tomboy when she was younger. Her brother did his very best and always made sure there was food on the table, and Clea was clean and happy, but just like Clea, Jace was quite the hot-headed guy, and just like all other siblings, they fought fiercely. But Clea loves her brother no matter what, and even if she hated leaving him to come to Barlow, she also loves being here with all her heart.

When Clea arrived Barlow she had been terrified by the big school, not liking how many troubled people who lived there. Though one troubled boy she just couldn't take her eyes off. Kyle Merwin was his name, and the attraction was returned. Soon Kyle had managed to charm his way into Clea's heart, where she fell so fast and hard she didn't have time to consider the boy's flaws. Oh, and those there were many of. Kyle seemed to have two personalities: one charming one, which Clea fell so hopelessly in love with, and a brutal, cruel one, which scared Clea more than she could say. Some of the time Kyle was the guy she fell in love with, charming and sweet, the boy who always knew how to make her laugh. But on his bad days, or times he was under influence of some substance such as drugs or alcohol, Kyle became a cruel jerk, not hesitating to abuse his girlfriend. It was words mostly, but Clea also wound up with some bruises from him handling her roughly. But what Clea hated the most was how brutally he fucked her when he was in a bad mood, how little he seemed to care about her. No matter how much he hurts her though, Clea doesn't dare to leave him. She has come to believe that her place is by his side, and she knows she would rather endure his harshness to be there for the happy times. There is another problem entirely though, Clea is starting to suspect her boyfriend's need to have careless and brutal sex has lead to something more. But finding out? Oh, no, she doesn't dare. Because what fourteen year old wants a baby?

| Relationships

 Doesn't really have any friends of her own, but is accepted into Kyle's friend group consisting of Kael Payne, Ethan Anderson, Ashton Suttle and Jaiden Finch. Kyle gets jealous if she talks to them too much, but Clea really doesn't mind being in their presence. After she has gotten over the initial shock of bad jokes and inappropriate sexual remarks.

Has become especially good friends with Jaiden, Kyle's best friend, and she enjoys talking to him.

Is a bit wary of Diana Heron, but looks up to her.

 Feels worthless without Kyle and is willing to do anything to keep him hers. This has turned into an obsession of hers, and as she has always known she isn't pretty enough for him, she tries to starve herself to beauty.

Isla River Davenport is the psycho. She is fifteen years old, and is a very distrusting sophomore. Isla looks a lot like Isabelle Fuhrman and she is a taken role.

| Personality

It’s not often Isla encounters someone who doesn’t think she is insane. And maybe she is? She doesn’t really know, but hates the label which has been put on her with everything she is. Though she is suffering from PTSD and IED, which makes her rather unpredictable when it comes to her way of behaving. It’s not her fault she can’t control her anger. People’s attitudes towards her have made her hostile and insecure about herself, where she finds it easier to just snap at people instead of having them find out she is a ‘psycho’. Isla bites whenever she feels threatened, and tends to either get violent or just plain mean. If she feels like someone is out to get her, she will make sure she gets them first. 

Isla acts like the toughest girl, whom no one can hurt, but in reality she is very sensitive and insecure. She wakes up everyday to hate the sight in the mirror, her face and the scars over her body. Past incidents have made her very distrusting when it comes to people, especially men, and she doesn’t like being alone with them, and hates it when they look at her too long. It has gone so far Isla won’t let a person of the opposite gender touch her, afraid they might get the wrong idea. Though there is an exception to her strict rule, where she doesn’t necessarily let him touch her, but he has seriously made her reconsider her view on men. Nash Caldwell of all people proved to be the protector and maybe even friend she had so desperately needed. Maybe even something more?

| Background

 It had happened when she was twelve, and walking home alone at night, having snuck out from the orphanage she lived at. She hadn’t seen him coming until it was too late, and then everything had happened so fast. Hours later, the man was finished with her, leaving her broken and beaten in an alley. Being raped did something to Isla, and her already violent tendencies turned for the worse. She no longer ate, or slept, and in the end she got so sick she had to be sent to the hospital. Once she got out, she enrolled at Barlow Academy under special care of Olivia Duncan. The woman makes sure Isla is under control, takes her medication, and does what she is supposed to do. Isla has no relatives in her life, having been dropped off at an orphanage when she was five, so Liv is the closest thing to a mother figure she has got. 

The saga of Nash started the day she arrived Barlow, and she was cornered by his two best friends who wanted to ‘welcome’ her to the school. She wasn’t completely sure what had happened, but it had ended with Nash ordering them to lay off her. With a lingering gaze, Nash had left her alone, taking his friends with him. And from there their relationship had only evolved, even though they both had been skeptic to one another. But the thing was that she felt like he understood, like he understood how it was not being able to control your own anger, and having someone understand made things much easier for Isla. They both learned how to deal with one another: Isla learned how to calm him down from his anger, and Nash learned how to calm her down when she was having one of her episodes. Against all odds, the two of them were friends.

| Relationships

Is in love with Nash, but is afraid to admit it even to herself. She is afraid of being rejected, afraid of being used, afraid of getting hurt. She is afraid, and she hates it. She sees the good in him despite all his cockiness and bullshit, and often tries to talk him out of all the trouble he willingly gets himself into.

Is very wary when it comes to Aiden Wade, who teases her continuously and does anything to not wind up alone with him.

Hates Kayla Ainsley for showing so much interest in Nash. Though she hates every girl who does, she finds it in herself to hate Kayla even more. Simply because it is Kayla.

Has noticed how Drake Everett turns off his cruelty when he thinks no one is watching and thinks its really interesting.

Isla finds comfort in her friendship with Felicity Leslie, and though Felicity doesn't always talk, Isla likes to be around her.

Isla finds herself trusting Tommy Andrews more than any other guy, apart from Nash, she appreciates the fact he accepts her and tries to be friends with her.

Feels comfortable around Ben Dancy, the strange boy doesn't scare Isla and she enjoys being around him.

Relaxes around Harmony Parkinson and trusts her with a lot, although she has yet to tell her about her past.

Is nervous of Trixie Drakes after the women found out what happened to her and is now trying to help her and to talk about it. Though Isla refuses to talk about it and is very guarded with her. She also doesn't understand or appreciate the jokes Trixie makes to be nice.

| Additional info

Doesn’t take her medication unless someone forces her, as she hates how they make her feel like she actually is crazy. It creates a lot of problems, as she has to be continuously watched or else she won’t be able to function properly as she ignores them. The only two people who get her to stay on her meds are Olivia and Nash.

Is the only one at Barlow who is allowed to own a pet, simply because the presence of animals has proved to make her better. She owns a small black kitten named Kitty.

Goes to see Derek Williamson to get prescribed medication, though Olivia is the only one who knows about her past.
