Meditation ...
Meditation is a word ... the practice of calming the mind, the practice of finding silence in all the noise, the practice of not saying a word in your mind, the practice of pouring your self into now, the practice of being without thinking, the practice of doing without thought, ... this all could be said to be meditation
Perhaps meditation is nothing more than ... focused awareness to NOW, no matter what we are doing, or not doing ... Maybe, that is what being is about ...

Equanimity
e·qua·nim·i·ty
ˌekwəˈnimədē/
noun
mental calmness, composure, and evenness of temper, especially in a difficult situation.
The Silence
The Silence
Wondering mind, going off in every direction. Heart, rhythmically swishing in my brain. Sounds, dancing upon my ears. The thunderous nothing, of silence, is deafening.
My flesh begins to crawl. Trembling from head to toe. The energy of life, exploding in my every cell.
The Silence, sure is noisy. --tfc
Silence ...
“We must leave the entire collection of conditioned thought behind and let ourselves be led by the inner thread of silence into the unknown, beyond where all paths end, to that place where we go innocently or not at all, not once but continually." --Adyashanti
"The entire collection of conditioned "thought,"" is built on the entire collection of invented words. Invented words that attempt to describe something our 5 senses, sense. Our 5 senses, sense less the 1% of all that exists.
All, thinking requires those same invented words. The entire collection of words and conditioned thought describe less then 1% of what exists.
Words make noise, be they on your tongue or only exist in your own mind. A "seemingly" never ending collection, of noisy threads constantly flowing through your mind and noisy paths to choose from.
It is that single thread of silence that takes us beyond all the noise, beyond all the invented words and conditioned collection of thoughts.
It is that single thread of silence, that that takes us beyond the limits of our 5 senses.
It is that single thread of silence that brings the more then 99% of all that exists well within our awareness.
May your days be filled with smiles, hugs, love and much happiness ...

Meditation is a wonderful thing.
Meditation is a wonderful thing. It helps us to learn to focus our minds, calm our bodies and align our spirits with the universe.
But this collection of molecules, atoms, particles ... what ever you think or want it to be ... exists here and now, in a place where "interacting" with other collections of the similar "stuff" is the medium of this existence.
Meditation is a solitary pursuit.
You have emptied your mind, you feel bliss. You feel connected to all the universe ... You feel to be one with god ... mmmm how wonderful and lovely this is. But then, you finish. You return to this "plane," this place, the "here and now" ... to time and space again. Now you need to begin to interact again with the universe and all the other beings that are around you.
You feel like you know bliss, you know what to do an how to do it, and out of no where comes someone not paying any attention to your bliss and knocks into you. And because they had a bad day... tells you "watch where your going ass hole." ...
What do you do now?
