A person raised in love and another raised in survival will never see the world the same way —M00wd
[5:58] Imagine two individuals given the exact same dead-end job, where the first guy is offered $10K/yr while the 2nd is told he will receive $10M/yr. And by the end of the first week, the guy who is only expecting $10K/yr approaches the other admitting in a huff: "I find this job so tedious I'm ready to quit, aren't you..??" to which the 2nd sweetly replies "Oh no, in fact I love it." This account relays the truth behind our attitude in life is largely coloured by our perception of what we can (hope) look forward to for our future; which ties back to why we're largely antiheroes all thru life. It becomes evident where along our walk we are, in terms of understanding our place & purpose in the world, and how what things we look to for comfort will shape our equanimity. If you've never lost your way in life (in an existential crisis) then you haven't lived long enough to wake-up to the fact that you are deeply dissatisfied with life.
