TFIOS Tour Cleveland: A Review
Okay so the other night I was extremely lucky enough to be able to attend the TFIOS tour stop in Cleveland. Unfortunately my mom could not get off of work so I did not get to leave my house until like four and because of that we did not have exactly, excellent spots. But none the less i had one of the best nights of my life. Our first spots were just around the corner from where John, Shailene, Nat, and Ansel were in before the show, with new crews, and VIP Tumblr winners, etc. But there were a group of fans (about 20) who gathered outside and waited (my friends and I were among them) and that is when my night really started to be fun. I got to talk to so many amazing and kind fans who were all so freaking fantastic (although we did get yelled at for trying to peek through the window to see them). At one point a girl (a complete stranger) walked up to me, looked me in the eye and just said
"okay?"
and which of course i responded with
"okay?"
And then she gave me a giant hug. And upon pulling away I said
"DFTBA?"
which she responded
"DFTBA"
Unfortunately, they ended up going out on stage through a back way, so I did not get to see them up close at that point. But we went back to our spot for the Q&A.
Half-way through my friend's mom found us spots at one end of a hallway behind the stage/staircase John, an the stars were at. Where we stayed for the rest of the time, and I actually meet even more freaking excellent fans (two of which had traveled two hours for).
At one point I had said to my friend "Oh my god I'm so thirsty" a comment to which a another girl I had talked to earlier offered me her drink (another example of HOW FREAKING GREAT NERDFIGHTERS ARE)
And towards the end of the an extremely kind and amazing security guard (who will remain completely unidentified) came over to the about 15 girls and explained they would be leaving from the other side of the hallway and if we remained calm we could leisurely make our way over to the other side and see them leave and what not. Which of course we obviously would not be passing this up so I told him "I love you" before leisurly pulling my friends to the other side of the hallway. And once there we were told by security to take some steps back, and a few minutes after we took steps back, everyone exited and WE WERE LITERALLY TEN FEET AWAY FROM THE ACTUAL REAL LIFE BREATHING JOHN GREEN (and let me tell you he was like a lot thinner in real life then anticipated and it was coco bananas). And once they left the building, we made our way out to go to dinner down the street, where we saw like 3 other girls who also came form the event it was crazy.
And just overall it was so amazing, and wonderful and everyone ws so nice and kind and omfg I just want to relive it.
