Stepping away from the KoG discourse.
Let's set some things straight before I step away.
I am NOT a fucking terf. I believe from the bottom of my heart that all women are women and that trans women deserve a space in this world just as much as everyone else does. Me believeing that Frankie does not have to be trans does not change that. It merely means I thing that what she is already representing is cool to me and doesn't have to change.
I believe Dana terrace deserves time to sort this problem out. She is already working on her show, which takes time, and therefore any free time she has (which is very little) is being thrown towards trying to fix this situation. Only time will tell what will happen, but you have to actually give it time.
Lastly, I understand the concerns and the want for representation because again, I rarely see myself (gender fluid) represented in media! But I don't think that the lack of such representation is a failure. (Especially on a show that just released a pilot!) I think it just means that this show might not be that, and that is okay.
We strive for a kinder world and a world where everyone can be accepted. The way we are acting now is pushing us backwards, not forward. Be the kindness you want to be in the world.
I apologize for the things I wrote in anger, and it was not kind of me to say. But do not interpret that as my being transphobic or any of the sort. I would have thought it was super cool for Frankie to be trans, but I do not think it is so horrible that she is not.
I wish the best for all women, trans, butch, cis, and all that show the kindness that is needed in this world. May you one day find the representation you are looking for. But please be kind.
