it’s been a little while since we’ve done one of the Daily-ish Art challenges, and this we in fact did over several days - sketch one day, and then a break day, and then lines tonight. we don’t 100% Love how the lines for this friendo turned out, but we were focusing more on the goal of just, doing the lines in about 15 minutes. it took more about 25, all told, but that’s still really good in the context of our art skills and what we’re striving for - we’ve previously spent hours and hours lining pieces.

In any case, we hope you like this fluffy doggo, and that you’re having a good time!

a birdie told us that you were having a less-than-fantastic day, and we were having the kind of less-than-fantastic day that could greatly be brightened by us making nice ripples while people are having rough days, and add in some hyperfixation and.......

tl;dr: our hand slipped and we made a magic sparkly full colour scream bb, because it suited the day <3

started this piece to guide ourselves through a pretty intense spike of ptsd yesterday, and finished it up today. we’re feeling really self conscious of these affirmations; there’s a lot of context to them, and we don’t know how obvious that context is to people outside of us. nonetheless, they are important and helpful for us feeling like we can be ourselves, and like we can decide what that means.

we’re also a bit iffy on how the main text turned out - we’re not sure exactly what about it isn’t feeling right to us, but. we are trying to post art beyond just what our brain has determined to be as perfect as possible.

TFT Daily-ish Challenge #1 - Fluffy Owl

we’ve created a new daily-ish* challenge for ourselves - the goal is to do a sketch in 15 minutes, and lines in 15 minutes, and leave colouring alone for now. for this lovely owl friend, we managed to do the sketch in 15 minutes (nearly exactly!), though the lining took a bit longer - somewhere in the realm of 25 minutes, I believe? 

In any case, we’re really happy with how this turned out, and with how the challenge pushed us, but not enough to overwhelm us. 

we are planning on colouring these linearts at some points, but the challenge is specifically about sketching and lining for now! That said, if anyone else would like to colour them, please feel free! We just ask that if you want to post it online, you use the version with our signature, and tag us if it’s on tumblr.

we really thrive on requests for things like this, so we'd love for people to send us asks with simple drawing ideas for us to turn into little cartoons like this! 

*meaning, it’s meant to be accessible to do every day in succession, but we are not obligated to do it any day
