drifting by -- shikamaru & temari

It shouldn’t have irritated Temari that she saw the boxes containing Shikamaru’s belongings tucked neatly in the corner of Naruto’s room, not yet opened, before had she laid eyes on him. There was no good reason for interrogating Naruto as to where Shikamaru was, and even less so, get mad when Naruto only shrugged his shoulders at her.
And to be frank, she had no business storming off, determined to go find the lazy bastard herself, deciding that it was reasonable to be frustrated that he hadn’t said hello to her since arriving to Koi. They were roommates after all, and apparently, also soulmates--
When that particular word crossed her mind, Temari picked up her pace, unconsciously trying to run away from her thoughts. And boy, was it not working.
It didn’t take her long to find him; the first place she though to check was the park. From her vantage point, she saw a familiar smoke plume and pineapple-shaped head that she would have recognized anywhere. Of course, he was laying on the ground, watching the clouds roll by. Shikamaru looked totally at peace, and after a minute (or several) of staring at him, Temari approached him from behind silently.
“Figures I’d find you here. Leave it to you to not at least say hi to your new roommates after you move in.”
