Yamaha TG33 Vector FM Synth
This little synth was produced by the Korg team that put together the Wavestation, who had in turn, come from Sequential having created the Prophet VS. This version of vector mixing synthesis has FM sounds as well as waves. 12bit converters make for a gritty sound and it is also pretty thin sounding because of the lack of filters. It does have in-built effects and a very cool joystick. If you pitch down the waves you can get some interesting textures, for example: http://snd.sc/13q8DCo
