Now that we are past the chapters that take place in the third stratum, it feels right to mention my musical inspiration and background listening for writing those chapters: Bellow by Witch Bolt.

It felt perfect for the "ancient and funereal" vibe I wanted to lean into for the Necropolis. A good example of this and my pick for if you can only spare time for one song is Hidden in the Leaves, but if you want to truly see the vision, listen to Growing Sycamore while reading the part of Chapter 17 where Yulia pulls the headpiece out of the hollow. :)

While making the 2nd stratum chapters I noticed a trend of all of them ending up ~3k words without me noticing, when I was expecting the 2 - 2.5k range. I thought I'd trim the fat from some 3rd stratum chapters to try and help remedy that, since I didn't want the final work surprassing a certain word count. So anyway. 6,000 word chapter.
