BAND OF THE DAY #471 - Ghostpoet Electronic artist Obaro Ejimiwe aka Ghostpoet played The Great Escape back in 2011 when he was first marked for success following the release of his debut album “Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam”. His music is unmistakably unique to his character and voice, a sound so distinct and abstract that his second album “Some Say I So I Say Light”saw him push his talent to its height as he explores mixed, concept sounds. Backed by electronic ethnic beats overlaid with spoken word he barely sings lyrics which are playful, clever and skilled.- It is fair to say that Ghostpoet lives up to his name!
