Republicans are going to try to focus on abortion rights in this supreme court seat.

But as Democrats, we need to remind America that there is so much more at stake.

This seat is about the rights of gay and transgender Americans to live without fear of prejudice. This is about your right to vote. This about corporate person-hood and unlimited money in politics. This is about the right of workers to unionize. This is about protecting aspects of Obamacare, like laws prohibiting insurance companies to deny coverage to people with preexisting conditions. This is about how we treat the unfortunate people who end up on our borders. This is about the death penalty.
