18) Describe [insert character] in three words?

I need a character for this one!

26) Who do you most want to see as a guest star on the show?

I've wanted to see Felicity Huffman as Peter's sister for-friggin'-ever and I'll be so sad if it never happens. Also, Allison Janney, preferably sharing scenes with Christine Baranski. 

38) Decision a character made that you disagree with?

Aaaargh! Hmmm. Every single thing about the Will/Peter vote rigging scene in 4x22. OH, NO, I HAVE A BETTER ONE: THAT DAMN PHONE CALL AT THE END OF 4x19. 

47) Should Alicia and Peter divorce?

I don't think that one's up to me, but I think that they'll both be better off-- in terms of both security and happiness-- if they have a conversation about the state of things and work through their problems rather than ignoring them and screaming at each other. I think they'd both benefit from a divorce at this point, but mostly because that would force them to confront all of their issues in a meaningful way. 

61) Hottest sex scene?

64) While we are talking about hair, explain how, if s3 picks up the day after Will and Alicia did their thing in the presidential suite, um, how the fuck did Alicia have time to get a haircut?? Does she have hair people on speed dial? Did she do it herself in the elevator on the way up to her office? H O W?

Oh no, an opportunity for me to complain about timelines and the general nonsense that is 3x01's timeline, where some plots have progressed several weeks from 2x23 but others pick up, emotionally, exactly where they left off! I will spare you that rant-- it's in my 3x01 rewatch project entry, if you're really curious-- and instead note that awpurplepoptart and I did some googling and discovered a 24 hour salon somewhere in Chicago where we decided Alicia MUST have gone.

Could you answer 46? Please! I think you have talked about their relationship before but I would like to know your views of them now

I answered this one yesterday, but mostly just by linking to old posts. I don't know what else I can say; my opinions on Alicia/Will haven't really changed since the last time I wrote about them. I don't think it's particularly useful to look at their relationship in terms of a love/lust binary when there was so much going on between them and they were rarely if ever on the same page.

10) If you had to pick one scene to rewatch forever, what would it be?

The 5x08 chair scene/ending.

51) Whose past would you like to know more about?

Everyone's, but probably Alicia's the most. We know surprisingly few biographical details about Alicia considering that she's the protagonist of a long-running series with 22 episodes a season! I also would love to hear about Diane's past-- I feel like there must be some great stories there.

52) Favorite 'memory pop'?

I'm tempted to say "all of them" because I'm head over heels for the memory pop device, but I'm still in awe of how spectacular Will's decision tree sequence is. Truly one of the best moments of television I've ever seen.

4) Favorite season and why?

I don't really have a favorite season. I think s5 is the most cohesive, consistent season-- and, obviously, the most exciting one-- but it's very flawed and lacks some of the small moments of the earlier seasons. But, then, the earlier seasons can be slow and all over the map in terms of quality, so they're not my favorites, either. 

36) Case that was super confusing and you're still like "wtf?"

I'm not sure about confusing, but I really loathe the case from 5x12, "We, the Juries." 

77) Pick an elevator scene/"moment"?

The end of Closing Arguments (brilliant writing, acting, directing, music choice!). But also the "it's a surprise party for you" scene in The Dream Team. 

91) A "parallel" or nice throwback moment you liked?

The opening of 1x01 || the ending of 3x20 (Alicia standing beside Peter as he announces his run for governor.) (At some point in the future I'd love to write something about Alicia's character development as punctuated by her Good Wife press conference appearances-- 1x01, 1x23, 3x20, 6x05.) (Also, I loved the 1x23 hallway || 6x05 hallway parallel, especially the way Alicia and Peter switched sides.)

49) Favorite Will/Diane moment?

"We’re the perfect couple." "Everything but the sex."

58) If TGW did a musical episode, what song(s) would you want them to sing?

I would demand original music. I would also like to hear covers of some other songs from the original artist of Thicky Trick. Actually, they could just make a musical episode out of his Getty Images catalog. Yes. That is my answer. 

62) What season of Alicia’s hair do you like the most?

Ohhh. This is a tough one. I love early season 1 hair, but I don’t think it would suit Alicia right now (though… her hair is starting to look like s1 again). The s3 wig is really pretty when it doesn’t look awful. I love s4 hair and think it looks very sophisticated; I think 4x01 might be my favorite episode for Alicia’s hair.

Doubt because of the episode structure or Nine Hours because of everything.

46) Alicia/Will: love? lust? ?

Somewhere in the middle? Just going to link to a few old meta posts-- I don't know if you've read them or not?-- because my thoughts on this are very complicated. First, here's my circa 5x10 piece on how Alicia and Will both view the relationship, and second, here's something from this summer about whether or not I thought A/W were ever endgame. Long story short, and to directly answer the question here, somewhere in between lust and love, but it varies for both parties, and the definition of love is murky and doesn't necessarily mean "wants to be with." 

48) Thoughts on Alicia and Kalinda ever being friends again?

Friends? Doubt it'll ever happen again, and don't need to see it happen again, but wouldn't complain if it did-- so long as it was in character for both of them. Interacting more and sharing scenes? It's ridiculous that it's been 38 episodes without a face-to-face interaction between the two.

100) How do you want the show to end?

I’m up for just about anything as long as it’s not cheesy/”happily ever after.” The last frame of the show should be Alicia or something related to Alicia, and the finale should not revolve around anyone making big changes in their love lives. 

90) Most flawless acting moment?

Nearly every moment of the show from the series regulars, but I want to call special attention to Julianna as Fantasy Alicia in 5x10. It would’ve made a terrible Emmy tape for her and Josh steals the show with his fantastic performance, but it says so much about Julianna’s acting talents and the subtlety of her performance that— with a little help from makeup, lighting, and directing— she can play a woman who looks like Alicia Florrick while making it crystal clear that it’s not the real Alicia. 

8) Favorite finale?

Season 4: What’s in the Box?  Season 1’s finale is weighed down by the silly cliffhanger; season 2’s finale isn’t that great until the wonderful final sequence; season 3’s finale is solid but underwhelming for me; season 5’s finale is rushed and contrived where it doesn’t need to be. That leaves season 4’s finale, which is fast-paced, feels deserved, balances drama, humor, and all of the ongoing plotlines well, and propels the show forward into its most ambitious and exciting arc ever.

83) Diane: lawyer or Supreme Court Justice?

Selfish answer: lawyer, so she's constantly interacting with all the other characters.

Actual answer: Supreme Court! It's her dream-- even if she did prioritize her commitment to L/G over the politics of the nomination.

87) If you were having a dinner party and could invite 3 characters, who would they be?

Alicia, Diane, and Kalinda. Girls' night! Added bonus: Kalinda and Alicia would have to be in the same room. Or, wait, it just says "invite." Maybe Kalinda's a bad pick because either she or Alicia will have to turn down my invitation...
