fuck it time to yap about my th au. please i beg of you ask me about this even if its a really basic question i have so much more in my brain i need to blabber about.

okay. as ive mentioned a few times before its based off of bring her along's music video and the song. joe is the leader of a group cult thing called the solipsistic clan made up of him and his rich friends (other band members) worshiping an ancient forgotten deity and doing human sacrifices and whatnot to appease it. they all wear personalized masquerade masks as a sign theyre part of the group and loyal to it. each member has their own "job" or role in the group. also my beloved oc ashley/candi gets to be in this because its my au and i can be self indulgent and cringe if i want to.

Horse, LOOSE in a Hospital

“I am fine. Really. It was a tiny faint” Symphony assured the little nursing aid fussing over him, all smiles and polite given the situation, but he’s taking that little paper cup of cold water to put the young lad at ease and maybe a small pulse of magic to go fawn over other patients who actually needed care.

He’d had a long night curbing some thrall who were a little too cocky, and before that he’d been grading papers and assignments during the day so ... Yeah. Okay. Maybe he forgot to eat something and his body had a little ... ‘Blip’ of lost consciousness but he was fine! Grab a packaged fruit salad from the cafeteria on his way out and he’d be dandy to return to class by lunch break.

Oh. Oh no. It was Barbara Lake! ... I bet that little bugger Jim had texted her!

Friday night; when teachers can look forward to almost 48 hours of peace away from a classroom while the children antisocially socialise. At least, that would be the case for him if after school he also had to ensure that half of Arcadia didn’t burn down for the fifth time this week chasing after a bunch of magically equipped hooligans.

So, you take the latter out of the equation. No amulet? No ruckus. Granted, as he put the car in park and stepped out of the vehicle, Symphony had every intention of returning it. A trollhunter without an amulet was merely an already stressed teenager, but hopefully this would buy some time between the realisation, and a mix of homework/dinner time/curfew that could ensure Symphony could do his work unbothered.

Hopefully, Mrs Lake didn’t mind a someone popping by to drop off some lost property.

"Damn it!” Symphony stomped, folding his arms with a little huff and casting one last searching glance around him for any hints, any signs, but the trail was well and truly cold.

He’d finally found the Troll Hunter, both in action and with a troll accompanying him, with the intention to tail the latter to find the hidden entrances into Heartstone Troll Market. A trip into the woodlands surrounding Arcadia Oaks, everything going according to plan. And then? Gone.  An inspection of where he’d last seen them standing, looking around the mossy earth and jutting boulders, and he’d lost them... 

An irritated little sigh as he stomped back to the stream, not at all content with the idea of camping out this place when Horngazels were a thing, and the opalescent ‘troll’ was perching atop one of the river stones to think. Until staring at his watery reflection gave him additional eyes.

Oh, a river carp ... Why is it staring up at him like that?

“And what are you looking at?” Symphony muttered down to the fish.

Horns and Horngazels

Earth, sky. Day, night. Ebb, flow. Peace, chaos. Life, death. For every outcome, someone needed to ensure that the balance of The Scales remained even. Magic, and those born of it, were given free reign, to an extent to find a way to exist harmoniously with those lacking. The Gumm-Gumm resided deep, deep within the Darklands, whereas the Trolls, mindful of magic law, took refuge below the ground to live unbothered by man above. 

That should be the end of it.  However, of late, The Scales had begun to tip heavily on the side of magic. Arcadia, Centre of All, had begun a tilt into dangerous magical activities. Trolls causing destruction, goblins and changelings running amuck, a child bearing ancient artefacts. Someone needed to set the balance level. 

The magical ‘pond’ of Arcadia, would soon find a shark in its waters.  Symphony wasn’t one for violence, but Deya the Defiant may have had the right idea...

He was early, anyway, by a few days. But that only gave him more time to do a little bit of ‘sleuthing’ to establish common places the trolls went to ground, their little ‘warren’ exits, and where other mythic mischief makers hid out during the fatal daylight till night time.

Before classes start for him next week, he really should get to know his ‘fellow teachers’ a little more. After all, he’d rather know a little about them and where their offices were in case he needed to talk about ... Eh, school stuff. 

Well, this one is closest.

Delicate knuckles rapping on the doorframe, and Symphony is popping his head into the office. And its occupied! “Howdy howdy, fellow teacher. I’m, uh, Symphony? I’ll be the music and herbology teacher next week. Just getting to know everyone before i get started ... Do you prefer Karl, or Mr Uhl?”
