bart turned to her. eyes red with tears, face stained with blood. nostrils flaring and rage running through his veins. it was a real thing, a palpable thing, a part of that room. it was more tangible than the knife stuck to his ribs. "sweetheart, you," he still couldn't believe it, it didn't seem real, she was there, right there, alive, breathing. his eyebrows pulled up, "angel, god, thank the gods you are alive." rushing to hug her.
