Wow! I love this. "Consequences of Falling" live on The Parkinson Show, uploaded by CowgirlPride79. This is one of my favorites on Invincible Summer but I don't think I've heard a live version before. It sounds awesome and k.d. looks like she's really enjoying it.
Another great live performance of Till The Heart Caves In, this one from Letterman in 1997.
All of the Drag-era performances make me want to run out and buy a pantsuit (though I'm a little distracted trying to figure out the pattern on her shiny shirt!).
(I adore this song and my fav live version if probably still this one from Jools Holland. There's something sublime about just k.d. and a piano.)
Really sexy, mellow live recording of Sugar Buzz. I can never get enough versions of this song. This was recorded in April 2011 for "Studio A Sessions."
Another great video from TheLangChannel circa 1992. k.d. performs "Constant Craving" on Jonathan Ross. She makes a mistake with the lyrics at one point, but recovers quickly, and is, of course, cute about it. (All the better to remind people that her gorgeous singing is live!)
k.d. performing "Wash Me Clean" live in 1993 for MTV's Most Wanted. Video uploaded by RogeRocks.
Also added to my lullabies playlist.
Thanks to TheLangChannel for salvaging this gem -- a 1992 interview and gorgeous performance of "Wash Me Clean" on Good Morning America. Even with a grainy video, there's great sound and k.d. is adorable (and I love that jacket she's wearing). She also sings a bit Stompin' Tom Connors tribute song to her.
Suggestive harp playing . . .
k.d. actually plays quite a few different instruments. On various albums, she's credited with playing electric and acoustic guitar, harp, ukelin, banjo, glass harmonica, piano, mandolin, tambourine, tamboura, and keyboard, as well as vocals.
