Another unusual photo from Out 1997.

This is the alternate, non-narrative version of the "Mind of Love" music video. (Narrative version here.) I prefer this one because I think the overlay is used to great effect, and the whole duality/talking-to-yourself part works better with the focus more on k.d. and less on the gothic scenery. This music video was included in Recollection.
(I uploaded this months ago but I think it just recently became viewable in the US.)

k.d. in another smokey-eyed photo for Out while promoting Drag
Wounded in All the Right Places, a gorgeous song sung by k.d. and written by 1 Giant Leap (Jamie Catto and Duncan Bridgeman). It's the first track in their 2009 album "What about me?"
This one is new to me. Very cool shot.
This is exactly what's missing from my wardrobe: a plaid suit with a long jacket and matching shoes. Wow.
Update: scan by kennedyflairs from L'Homme Vogue.
Since it's mid-July . . .
Who wants to rent a beach house with k.d.!?
k.d. performing Honky Tonk Angels Medley live in 1988 with Brenda Lee, Loretta Lynn, and Kitty Wells. Video from TheLangChannel.
Rest in peace, Miss Kitty.
k.d. works the stage during her Ingenue tour.

This is fun and adorable: k.d. and the reclines do cowpunk on Letterman in 1985 with Turn Me Round.

"When I'm single, I'm a bit scattered -- I'm always doing an interview with one eye on the waitress."

K.D. Lang singing “Crying” on MTV unplugged
Listen to this woman. Fucking eargasm. I love her so much.
Can't even begin to count how many times I've listened to/watched this. It's hard to imagine anything more gorgeous.
FYI, there's a higher quality version of this on youtube that's harder to find because "Unplugged" is spelled incorrectly.

k.d. and Joshua Grange make beautiful music at the Commodore Ballroom. Lex Price smiles on in the background.
Photo taken by Pebbles Willekes. There are more great photos from this show on her flickr.
I know I've already said this, but I really wanted to thank you again for your k.d. blog. Because of you, I see numbers pop up on her tag and I get to see interesting photos and tidbits I hadn't before. There's not nearly enough of her on Tumblr and you definitely keep it going. It's really nice to see whatever I can of her. Thank you!
You're very welcome! I'm glad you enjoy my blog.
Over the past few months, I've noticed that more people on tumblr seem to be blogging about k.d., which also makes me really happy :)

I've posted scans of this magazine before, but I think everyone will agree that the cover is improved now.
Thanks so much to k.d. for signing this for me last week. I feel very lucky to have had such a wonderful first concert experience.
