how different would Arinn be if he was a human? Or would he be pretty much the same?

OOH good question!!

I think it depends if he was born and raised human or suddenly became one....

If he was always human he would be fundamentally different. Who he is now is largely defined by his struggle to feed, the loneliness, being a walking target. Even his job as a barista is based in being able to move around and find work anywhere. If he were human none of that would have happened. He'd have a normal life, family, friends.

If he became human one day I think he'd stay the same in personality- still enjoy the same things, still love Alex of course. It would probably be a weight off his shoulders in many ways and he'd be able to go out into the world with less fear. But I also think a little part of him would feel a loss and he would take a while to adjust and relearn himself. :))
