Yaosang is a festival celebrated in Manipur for five days in spring, starting on the full moon day of the month of Lamda (February–March). Yaosang is indigenous traditions of the Meitei people. Ougri Hangren Chongba , a folk dance of Meitei community of Manipur associated with Sajibu Cheiraoba , New Year celebration of Meiteis. The boys and girls in a circle clutch each other's hands with rhythms of music slow and fast, high and low, up and down. If the number is great, they may form two or three rows so that everybody and anybody can.
