thackery looked down at the book he was reading && slammed it shut, hiding it in his bag when he noticed someone walk into the book store. if asked, he would probably explain that he just wanted to pay attention to the customers, but truthfully, it was because he was reading a book about witchcraft && even after all these years, he still feared he’d be hunted for his interests. ❝ anything i can help you with, or did you just come to browse the store?? ❞

Thackery yawned, stretching a bit so that his sweater lifted up and the bottom of his stomach showed. He walked over to the coffee pot and tilted his head back and forth, trying to crack his neck as he scooped the coffee grounds into a filter and started brewing coffee.

                   “Nox, love, do you want any coffee while I’m making in?”                     Thackery wasn’t really looking forward to going to work,                     even if it was just downstairs from his apartment.
