Protest yesterday was the most violent one yet here in Thailand. Royalist who works for the king have brought weapons such as rocks and machete, and the cops and militias deployed rubber bullet, water canon, more chemical-laced water canon, and tear gas against the pro-democracy protesters who are mostly youths and teenagers, and most importantly; they only have rain coats and balloon duckies as a shield;
The balloon duckies was just there as a mascot and to represent that the protesters came peacefully ("we have duckies! no weapons!") And instead many were injured.
Mark my word, there will be no Rama the 11th to rule Thailand. We had enough of the monarchy, especially ones who claimed to be god. We don't even see them as king, and I personally don't see them even as human.
