“Well, it could’ve been worse,” Thalia said decisively, sharpening her blade in a manner that sent a tingle down his spine, and he couldn’t for the life of him tell if it was fear or something else entirely.

“It could’ve been worse?” Sirius repeated dubiously, looking at the silver rings that they now shared. “What’s worse than this?”

“Well, my last husband skipped out on me when Galen was a toddler and Aggie was a baby, so I think you’re doing rather well.” She patted his cheek fondly with a smirk.

Sirius shouldn’t have found that so attractive.

It was supposed to be just a one-night stand, and the sex had been great...probably the best sex he’d had in years, but somehow they’d ended up married.

And Sirius had no idea how it had happened in the first place.

“Stop thinking so hard, Black, you’ll worry that pretty head of yours right off,” Thalia said with glinting eyes, her hips swaying as she moved past him and Sirius wished his life hadn’t been quite so complicated.

Thalius: Depends on what I'm rolling against? His AC is probably actually quite low. If he's only wearing leather, I imagine it's somewhere in the 15-16 range.
