I wouldn’t say that Malcolm is conventional romantic, he isn’t like opposed to marriage and such, but he knows that love can also be fleeting. A spurn of the moment situation. But he does believe in like love after all. He isn’t a cynic.

He is good at kissing, nothing to complain there.

Not really, Than is a very pragmatic person. So not really into romance at all and certainly not into marriage.

He would say he is a good kisser, the amount of times he actually got kissed. But that is experienced would be a far cry from the truth.

He is unfamiliar with it, due to the Dalish not really being private since you live with around 20 people in close proximity. So kissing someone in front of other is fairly normal for them.
