OKA Y so the og plot of basically every iteration of ao oni is, group of middle/highschool students hear abt haunted mansion, they go into said mansion, oni appears and a certain number of people die
but in my epic rewrite that sal is going to help me with only SOME people die and its got CONTINUITY instead of just groundhog daying shit by rebooting the same story over and over and-
i should actually explain it first huh sO THE BASICS ARE
the og four everyones familiar with, Hiroshi, Takeshi, Takuro, Mika, hear some classmates talking abt a haunted mansion and they check it out and get traumatized/almost have near death experiences from it
They(by they i mean hiroshi)’re response is hey that was fucked up what was that? what the fuck was that? and start digging around trying to learn more abt the mansion without having to go back and they learn-
-they are not the first group to survive that hell mansion! in fact two of the three people who survived that ordeal are in the same class as them! Kazuya and Akatori(v1 hiroshi im just gonna use his last name to avoid confusion) had gone there with their old friend Megumi back in middle school with a group of Kazuya’s bullies, all the bullies died bc the oni said fuck bullies
and i think that covers the like, intro to the cotinuation factor i have going into it without spoiling Every idea i have

...... i originally got into ao oni through that h*talia fangame that was really popular back in the day
BUT BUT i quickly said actually fuck that shit anime and latched onto ao oni instead bc the fangame hurted me and also was glitchy/had time loop shit but ao oni was like a blank slate for my adhd to go galaxy brain on and!!! its not very interesting of a game by itself but ive got a lotta fond memories of it plus theres one of them bitches in my brain so it literally will never leave me even if i wanted it to dgjdsgnd-
