Usually try to ignore it and compartmentalize. Either that or go lie in my bed and listen to sad music in an attempt to make myself feel even worse!! Very healthy!!!

Pretty much every concert I’ve ever been close to the stage for lol. Also, the night my cousin and I performed Summer Nights at karaoke for the first time and someone told me “You are what karaoke is MEANT to be about”. As close to my pop star fantasy as I’ll ever get rip.

I have a fluffy purple blanket and a comforter and that’s it!

Fucking Christ. Did he really just reblog that post? Dahlia didn’t concern herself often with whatever this guy and his Ayn Rand toting goon squad chose to pollute the internet with but this–this was next level. 

His house wasn’t that far away, and she didn’t work for another hour. She could reasonably drive down there and give him a good ol’ fashioned one-two to the nose. But then again. Effort.

He hadn’t said a word to her but dear God, his face spoke volumes. Volumes that amounted to “sock me right in the kisser.” She considered it; but then again, he hadn’t done anything, yet, and she didn’t want to go down in history as the aggressor. 

But Christ. The day was coming.

I swear to god, if you say one more word to Marcie that even smells like an insult, I’ll kick your ass so hard it inverts. 

She would have done it, too, but she knew how the other woman felt about violence. Dahlia pressed her hands into tight fists, glossy fingernails digging divots into her palms.

Accidentally showing up at the same Starbucks with this motherfucker was bad enough; worse when he full-well-knowingly grabbed her drink from the counter, knowing she would neither brave the long line or the embarrassment of causing a scene in front of a full cafe to do anything about it.

She wanted to shove her boot where the sun don’t shine--but then again, she was on a date, and it was going better than expected--no point in sabotaging herself at this juncture. She glared at the blonde in between amiable glances at the other woman, higher functions overwritten with the impulse to knock his teeth out.

There wasn’t even the faintest trace of remorse in her smile or in the way she looked down at him, blood leaking from an upturned nose. Yeah, she’d enjoy the view for the two seconds she could, and then she’d start running. 

This had been a long time coming, as far as she, or anyone else, was concerned. She wasn’t a scrapper; her knuckles throbbed satisfyingly in the wake of the connection of bone and cartilage.

The rush of adrenaline left her grinning and stupid. “Suck on that, asshole,” was as intelligent as she could manage, before turning on her heels and getting the fuck out of dodge.
