In canon Declan gets all tight-eyed and silently upset when he sees Ronan tangling his legs up with Adam's in the Pig

And I think it's because his faith makes this a bit difficult for him but he knows he needs to work through it because he loves his brother

Also like "this trailer kid better fucking not be gold digging my brother is2g"

When he calls Adam a "creepily clever little fuck" later I think that was him admitting to Ronan that Adam has his grudging approval

In his own way he's proud of Adam being so smart and willing to do what it took to help protect Ronan. Like, this boy framed Dad's murderer and made him skip town? Fuck it we can skip the "if you hurt him I'll rip your balls off" lecture he's family now
