So.. Tj (my fiance) got a Canon Pixma printer for Christmas. He obviously couldn’t keep it a secret and gave it to me early! I tried to use the scanner last night, BUT there was a problem. The printer comes with a CD to install the program on to your computer. Here’s the catch, my $800 laptop doesn’t hace a CD port. Bullshit. So I spend an hour looking for the program online, and I finally find it. Now half way throught the download it wants me to plug my laptop into the printer via USB so that it can sync up. Second Catch! The USB port for the printer is larger than normal ports. Thinking we must have thrown away this mysterious cord, Tj and I spend the next hour bickering while looking for the cord. When Tj looked at the list of things the printer comes with, that mysterious cord is NOT included. Fabulous. So hopefully tomorrow we’ll go get a USB drive or that damn cord so I can upload some of the art I’ve done these last couple months. That would be nice.
