Another great CAD session with the bois
We started redesign the box. We began creating the new design, to look something like the sketch pictured above.
This way we could easily make a top compartment containing the electronics. Furthermore the OLED screen will be easy to install and all of the electronic compartments can we accesed from the back of the locker. With the new design of the box, we needed to create a new hinge aswell. It had to be longer to seal off the locker. This was to make the locker harder to break into. A picture of the hinge can be seen from a midsection picture of the box.
The compartment for the electronics was made. By having the electronics in the top, we could easily wire the lock and OLED. Also it would be out of reach of users using the locker. For future design (and if it should be implemented in the real world) the wire for the locker should be inaccessible by users aswell. The OLED was added to the design. We also wanted to incorporate a small speaker, to create some userfeedback. The speaker, located inside the small electronics compartment and plays a small tune when the user unlocks the locker. Therefore small holes are created, to let the sound pass through the locker.
