I bought the Black Friday bundle on ESO purely because I wanted the guar. The riding lessons are literally useless to me ‘cause all of my characters’ mounts are maxed, and I can’t even sell the damned things.

At least I got some XP scrolls out of it, so grinding the last few vet ranks on my post-Gold characters will be slightly less laborious. Tharn’s only a couple of thousand XP short of vet 15, anyway, so with him I’m effectively doing the same as I did with Alyanna when the level cap was increased. That took about a day or so.

Gold’s done, and Tharn’s about 80% of the way to v15.

I checked his achievements out of curiosity and found that he doesn’t even have the achievement for destroying 10 anchors yet. I’ve also not done all the public dungeons, or world bosses in each zone with him. Basically if it wasn’t a quest, I skipped it, I guess.

So with that in mind, plus the fact I’ve still got Cyrodiil PVE to run through, I’d say he’s good for getting to v16 without grinding.

If I’m lucky, I should hit v14 with the Tharn Clone by the time I’m done with Gold quests.

If I’m luckier, I might hit v15 by the time I’m done with Gold quests.

So. Before the latest patch, I (almost) managed to run Nero through both the Silver and Gold zones, and got him to v10. By the time the patch rolled around, I’d half-done Bangkorai; on finishing the Gold zones he ended up like, 3, maybe 4% from v11.

I’ve just managed to get the Tharn Clone through only the Silver zones, and he’s currently just over a quarter of the way to v9.

So yeah. I wonder what level he’s going to finish Gold on? ONLY ONE WAY TO FIND OUT.

Ayyy, Tharn can use the Crescent Staff now.
