It had been a busy half a year after the entire family found out they were all thinking about basically the same idea. When Chris realized they all talked about Brindleton Bay and the possibility of moving there, he had pitched them the idea of a big house, split into three separate houses, so they would be close, but each would still have their own home. Hayle had been beyond happy when they jumped on the idea, and with that, a plan was set in motion to build both the houses and the new shelter, as well as planning a new adoption day, this time around with most of Rylan’s work involved, having done weekly segments on the animals up for adoption, and advertising for the adoption event in every magazine for weeks. The hope was to have almost no animals to move, and right now it looked fairly decent for that if the event went as they hoped it would. The moving went quickly when it started, the last ones leaving the old house being River and Rylan, while Vy had already started early with the books because he had so many.
Hayden looks at the many boxes of books with a bit of a smile, he knew Vy had many books, but after they had gotten all off the ones in his tree-house too he was wondering if they should have gotten a bigger library.
“I think that's the last of them Vy or do you have even more hiding somewhere?”
Vy looks at the boxes, almost saying yes, but he stops himself, giving Hayden a sheepish look.
“No, those are all. But we can always get more!”
He takes the boxes to the room that will be their library, smiling happily around it.
“We have a house. Our house!”
“If we get more, we'll need more than one library.”
Hayden smiles, not really being against that idea really, but he had been surprised at just how many books there were all in all.
“Our house... it's nice isn't it?”
“It's very nice…”
He noticed one of the movers they had hired, walking over and opening the door to their bedroom for their brand new bed, telling them quickly where to put it. Having had the plans into detail upfront, most everything was pre-planned and boxes were put in the right rooms.
“I guess we should be happy my parents never sold the original house, although this new one... is different.”
