so I recently started a BG3 run only using Astarion and Shadowheart (playing as the Astarion origin) as a joke- but I'm actually like really into it now

their romance kind of works?? like I low key actually ship them now?? they both have secrets and difficult pasts, they both aspire great power and "ascension", they both enjoy choosing the more chaotic options and love a little violence

and oh my gods in the last battle I did, Shadowheart went down and the absolute pain in Astarion's voice when he said "Shadowheart, no!" 😭 okay Neil you didn't have to slay so hard with your voice acting

they make such a wild pairing and I'm all for it
