listening to Hear My Hope again and im getting emotional thinking about how Lucifer didn't get to see Hell all come together. He didn't get to see Hell unite and save his life and Heaven's lives, sacrificing not only themselves in what could've been a hopeless battle but choosing to try. Lucifer didn't get to see in real time his wife's dream and his own dream be realized by the Pride Ring of Hell. The ring known to stand on its own, to put themselves above everything else, where sinners like Vox, Alastor, the biggest and brightest of all of Hell. Those sinners. Lucifer didn't get to see those sinners recognize this was something bigger than themselves and putting their lives on the line by acknowledging they cannot do this alone.
Do you understand the significance of this. This is the Pride Ring. Every single demon on it has fallen to the sin of Pride. The sin of "I can do it all myself and no one else". And these demons stood side by side next to an angel, not just an angel but a seraphim and got off their fucking pedestals and high horses to lend all they could in the hopes they could together save all of Hell.
How many souls do you think were guaranteed redemption as soon as they reached out their hand to help someone else for once.
And Lucifer didn't even get to see any of that. He didn't even get to hear it. He was stuck in the pit of pain probably knowing that he was going to die. Knowing he could be facing Death right now. He didn't know what happens when an angel dies. He didn't know angels could die. But Adam had. And where did Adam go?
so many feels right now im so conflicted
