I don't mind sending out starters.  If you're in a roleplay with me and you feel like you'd rather not be -- for whatever the reason, just let me know. I like to keep my lists clean, my OCD won't allow me to have much on my list unless its active in some way XD.  I won't be offended, honestly. We can always pick up again or start a new roleplay in the future! I love all of you so..you know. Its all cool.

A Rainy Day

The thunder outside crashed loudly and so suddenly it made Yuki poke his head out from the closet he was rummaging through.  The rat wasn't particularly afraid of thunder, but the light rain that began only thirty minutes ago had turned into a monster of a storm.  

Yuki stood up and dusted his pants off, the sleeves of his shirt rolled up to his elbows as he took note of the small amount of belongings he actually had, all piled in a small brown box beside his bed.  Yuki stared at the box for a few moments before consenting to allow himself to go down stairs for a bit to get something to drink; his throat was parched. 

The rat's socked feet thudded against the wooden floor boards as he made his way down to the kitchen, passing the rather dark and deserted living room.  All of the lights were off in the house, save for the one back up in his bedroom.  Lightening outside flashed, creating odd and awkward shadows across the walls and floor as he passed through into the kitchen.  

With just the flip of the switch, light poured all around Yuki as he wandered over to the fridge.  He could hear the poor wind chimes outside rattling and twinkling in the blustery wind as rain pelted the roof.  Yuki poked his head in the fridge and got out a small bottle of juice for himself and a single strawberry to munch on.  Placing the berry between his lips, he opened the bottle and took a refreshing sip.  

Out of the corner of his eye, Yuki noticed a small and scribbled upon note on the counter.  Yuki could recognize Miss Honda's hand writing anywhere.  

Kyo, Yuki! 

     Shigure went out to see Hatori and Aya for the evening and he suggested that I take the day off. NOT THAT I NEED ONE!! I love being there and I was worried you and Kyo wouldn't have anything to eat.  But he insisted, so I'm staying the night at Hanajima's tonight. There is some stew in the fridge!

Yuki blinked a few times as he looked at the letter before slapping it back down on the counter.  Why didn't anyone come up and tell him?  He knew why Shigure didn't but Miss Honda could have come up and said something, or even that stupid cat. Yuki took another bite of the strawberry and absentmindedly placed the stem on the counter next to the note rather than throwing it away.  The rat took one more sip of his juice as he took the note in his hand and replaced it with the bottle and quickly heading out of the kitchen.  

Yuki began to go up the stairs, two at a time as his light feet only softly thumped upon the wooden floors. Suddenly, another clap of thunder sounded and startled Yuki enough that a cloud of grey smoke surrounded the stairs.  The note floated down onto the pile of his clothes and his little rat body. 

Instead, he took the crumbled piece of paper and bit placed it in his little rat mouth and scurried the rest of the way up the stairs, berating himself for being so silly.  He never freaked out over a silly thunder storm. 

Yuki quickly barged into Kyo's room, unannounced but even if he knocked the sleeping boy at his desk, sprawled across his school books and papers probably wouldn't have heard it. 

Without a single word, Yuki hit Kyo over the head with his tiny paw, holding the note in his other paw.

"You stupid cat. Wake up." 

He said evenly.  

"Why didn't you tell me Miss Honda was leaving for the evening." 

Yuki asked with enough venom in his voice as another thunder clap sounded.

"K-Kyo?" Her eyes widened as she saw him transform.
