Another shot from yesterday morning. I got up at 3:30 to head out to Lochloosa so I could be there between moonset and first light . Lochloosa is pretty close to where I live and has fairly dark skies. Even with the recent rains the lakes level is low so I drove right up to the shore. I waded out into the lake to get a good angle on the Milky Way. I was surrounded by frogs singing and fish swimming in the shallow water. My flashlight caught the occasional glow of gator eyes as the hunted. I heard the echo of barred owls calling across the lake.
