“I stole it from someone who stole it.”, Leonard drawled and slotted himself between the wizard and the workbench that held his gun. “And it is one of a kind.”

He glared up at Dresden, expression cool and unreadable. “I have seen what your kind does to technology. Keep your hands off my gun.”

He was both the smartest and stupidest person I've known. Absolutely brilliant of mind, but... well, he had little thought to spare for anything outside his ambitions. He put everything or nothing into whatever he did.

I despised him for a long time, but it is too tiring to continue such a vendetta when he is so long dead. Having seen so many young adults flounder in the world since, I have gained some understanding of his actions, though the memories still sting.

Part of me still wishes I could have had some sort of civil relationship with him, but at the time... neither of us were capable of such.
