I know we don't know each other that well get but I admire so much about you! You're so smart and committed to what you do! You're exactly yourself at all times and have such a strong sense of your own personality! I love your sense of style! And I think it's beyond sweet that you reached out to me about library stuff, and that you want so badly to help welcome others to the field! You have a good heart and a strong commitment to accessibility and I really like that about you!

Are you still around Williamsburg? If so, the UU Church has “rainbow” brunches after some services, since many of their members are queer.

I’m not, sadly. I’m in a rural area 40 minutes from the nearest well-populated/not obnoxiously conservative-Christian area, and I really can’t move because I have a fantastic job here and I’m not confident find a job that will support me and my pets with a bachelor’s in English otherwise....
