Today I smoked my first cigarette after quarantine, on my porch, with a cup of coffee and my cat... it was the best feeling in the world. I missed so much being able to take a moment and enjoy something I did for the past 8 years every morning.

Why I love the anime community

So, I was on a convention with some friends...

Me: *walking around looking at the drawings of some artists * *sees a very beautiful art style * *stops*

Me: Wow, these are so good! And the style is so unique

Artist#1 : Oh, thank you

Me: * looks at friend joking* Someday I'm going to be just as good as these artists

Friend (a sweetheart) : But you are already good

Me: *laughs* yeah, but you know... *starts singing* I wanna be the very best...

Artist#1: .... Like no one ever was...

Artist#2: .... To catch them is my real test...

Random other artist from other table: To train them is my cause....

Everyone: POKEMON!!

After that everybody started singing the entire song, and even some cosplayers who passed by just started randomly singing. At the end there was like a crowd standing there singing the pokemons op.

This is why I love this community.

So there are these two elderly looking ladies

Who I happen to see living in their car and often time have trader joes bags piled in their trunk or have the carts with the bags next to their car (it looks like they went shopping). Every time I walk past their car, I always questioned what their story was and what's going on, but never got the courage to speak to them. Today, when I was walking back to my apartment, I happen to see a woman (by the looks of it, a student as well) talking to the two ladies, and the topic seems to be their story. I couldn't help but smile and feel a burst of warmth and... A form a joy, because she was trying to know their story, and perhaps, offer verbal support. And in my mind, I thanked the woman, for doing something I failed to do, to speak to the ladies to try to understand their situation. It's moment like these that make me really value the potential of humanity and who we are.
