so fascinated how i am still seeing people think that roathe and emet-selch are like The Same. theyre similar enough that i can understand the comparison but if you actually like. dig into both characters they could not be more different
#initial post i saw i cant be mad at bc thats a sprout#who has not started shb#at the current point in time yes they are very similar#but the COMMENTS. from PEOPLE WHO KNOW BOTH.#ohhh brother#i honest to god. hot take.#roathe is closer to being like gaius than he is emet-selch#he just sounds and acts like emet-selch in stormblood#THATS IT!!!!#because i think a lot of people people forget that how emet selch was as solus isnt how he actually is#both in the “gay theater queen” direction and the “The Man” direction#IT GOES BOTH WAYS!!!#whereas. gaius as a legatus and roathe as grand carnus hold VERY similar postitons within their respective empires#they were both VIOLENTLY ripped from those empires#and then left on their own. to learn. see things for how they are#they are actually open to change. emet-selch is not#hell he even TELLS YOU in ultima thule that he would do it all again given the chance!!!!#anyways#i have opinions about this
