"Oh my God." She mutters, desperately trying to stuff herself into the third of a larger size bra that was already too small for her. "I can't afford to keep buying these things at this rate. We're going to have to get food stamps to make up for it." Finally succeeding in clasping it, she grabs her shirts and shrugs her way into it. Struggling to button over her expanded bust as well as her expanding waist. "I'm never having sex with you again."

"Now that they’re asleep we can have some quiet time."

"If they stay asleep for a while." She says with a sigh, setting the baby monitor on the table before sitting down and crossing her arms over the tabletop, laying her cheek against them. "Today went by so fast."

Sometimes she wonders if he throws things at her just to get a reaction. But in all honesty, Steve's pretty direct. If he's asking, there's a solid chance he's got some interest. "A threesome?" She chews a bite of her food, shrugging. "Honestly, I'd be okay with that. With certain restrictions."

She sets the plate aside and rolls a little to lean over him, kissing him softly. "What's this about, hmm? You fantasizing about watching me go down on another girl?" She pauses, laughing a little. "Or another guy?"

"You can leave if you want. I’ll remember you."

He  knows it’s some kind of threat, coming from the crazy guy that works with Danny, but he won’t fall for it. Not when he needs to see Danny.

He stands as tall as he can, crossing his arms over his chest. “Well, I’m not going anywhere, so you might as well tell me where I can find my brother.”

27. The last slice of pizza

They’re at Danny’s place watching the game and having some beers and pizza and for once Steve hasn’t given him the evil eye the whole time.

He’s about to reach for the last slice when he notices Steve reaching for it as well, and there it is! the Evil Eye making his regular appearance.

"Go ahead… enjoy it!" He says with a forced smile, motioning for Steve to take the pizza.
