Ricardo was paranoid; more paranoid than usual, in fact. For the past couple months he had been trying to finagle a deal with another black market bio-terrorist for an experimental virus. Weren’t they all? The man sounded Russian or German or something on the phone and for the longest time he thought the deal was going to fall through. Finally, around three weeks ago a price was able to be negotiated. After that there was a complete silence from the other dealer. Nothing. Nada. Zip.
A sudden call two days ago at the four in the morning came and he heard back from the dealer. “Meet me in Romania. Sicriu. At night.” was all the man had said and left Ricardo with dead air. this was what had currently lead the Brooklynite to the rural back country of Romania with the mist-shrouded Carpathian Mountains to his east. He had managed to secure himself, on short notice, a bodyguard local to the country. The little European blue car he had picked the businessman up in to find the village of Sicriu was quite underwhelming as well and he felt it seemed better suited for Inspector Clouseau to be driving than anything else. Ricardo did feel some peace of mind knowing he would kill and dispose of the man after the deal was over.
The sun had set about an hour ago and the foreboding mountains had long since dominated the scenery. The Brooklynite and his Romanian guard trundled along the dirt roads with Ricardo fighting desperately fighting his nerves. He’d lost count of just how long they’d been traversing the dirt roads and just how many sheep he had counted. He’d nearly nodded off when the guard made a sudden stop, enraging the businessman.
“Is wolf,” the guard said in his heavy Romanian accent.
“Then run it ovah,” Ricardo snapped.
“Is bad luck to hit wolf. Sicriu is in valley. Look!” the guard said, pointing past the wolf to small flickering lights in the darkness. “You rest. We be there soon.”
Ricardo tightened his grip on his metal briefcase like it was his only lifeline as the small car continued on towards the village. The wolf, which had moved out of the little dirt path, lifted its head back to howl. Deep within the forest, a chorus of twenty other wolves joined in.

"To surviving clown hell." A toast for himself and his favorite antagonist.
Ricardo chuckled lightly even though just the mention of clowns was enough to make him shudder. Daresay he might never watch the movie It ever again.
“An’ may there nevah be anothah outbreak in a place where clowns are allowed ta roam free.”

Parties, social gatherings, or anything of the sort gave her quite the reminder of other times and for the most part she avoided them like a plague, but with Michael unable to attend and him needing someone to fill in, she ended up being the only option. And she had a rather extensive hatred towards that fact, one that could span hours of her life with a few knives in a good amount of blood. Yet for now she had to deal with the antics of those around her, unfortunately the night had only just begun. This was all to be a joy.
Feeling rather isolated, she decided to get up from her slouched position in her chair and go for a walk, well not like it was much fun to walk through the crowd, but she would find her way outside to get some fresh air, after all it was better than suffering inside. Really there was no point in staying, in her opinion, she had interacted with all her friend had told her to, and being alone in places like this was never much of a joy. Then again, she was told to stay until the party was certainly over, lest, lest, she wished to ruin his reputation of being polite. Which was total utter bullshit.
Subjecting herself to stay inside, she noticed someone that more than likely did not belong, call it an earned trait from her days owning the lounge, but it made her rather uneasy. And again she questioned her purpose for still remaining here.

My, my… Such responsible spending.

"It’s kinda my job to stay alive and fix this shit," he returned sharply, crossing his arms over a broad chest. He glared at him. "You didn’t strike me as the type to live through an emergency situation. More of the cowardly ‘jerk’ type."
Ricardo only continued to grin in spite of the insult. "An' you look like the type that would crack undah pressure. Don't judge a book by its covah, kid. It might surprise ya what the average person will do when they're facin' down death."
"Holy shit, you're still alive?" After the whole... shitty theme park incident, he was surprised to discover the man had emerged from the crowd mostly unscathed. Now Jake was not surprised by much. But of all the people he thought might make it out, this asshole was the last person on the list.
Ricardo gave the young scarred man a wry smile. "Don't sound so disappointed now," he said, the memories of that incident still fresh in his mind. Whether or not he would dare admit it, he had more close calls than he'd care to recall.
"What a surprise ta still see you standin', kid."
